Recent Shipment of Elevator Polyurethane Buffers in Various Sizes

We recently completed a shipment of elevator polyurethane buffers in various sizes for elevator maintenance and replacement projects. These buffers are used in the elevator pit to help absorb impact energy when the elevator car or counterweight reaches the buffer position under abnormal operating conditions. Although they may look simple, the correct size and installation matching are very important for safe and reliable replacement.

Elevator polyurethane buffers are commonly used for car-side and counterweight-side protection in many low- and medium-speed elevator applications. Different elevators may require different buffer heights, body diameters, base sizes, and mounting structures. In some projects, the car buffer and counterweight buffer may use the same specification, while in others, the two sides may require different sizes according to the original elevator design.

For replacement orders, the old buffer is usually the first reference. Buyers should confirm the overall height, outer diameter, base diameter or base plate size, mounting hole distance, and installation position. Photos from the front, side, top, and bottom are also helpful. If the old buffer is cracked, compressed, or deformed, the measurement should be checked carefully because the old part may no longer show the original size accurately.

Different buffer sizes are not selected only by appearance. Smaller polyurethane buffers are often used where the elevator design requires a more compact buffer structure, while larger buffers are usually used where greater energy absorption or a larger installation structure is required. However, the final selection should always follow the original elevator specification, rated speed, load condition, pit space, and impact position.

Before shipment, we check the buffer size, quantity, appearance, and packing arrangement to reduce confusion during installation. For orders that include multiple specifications, separate packing and clear organization are important. This helps customers identify each size more easily when the goods arrive on site.

This shipment shows a common requirement in elevator spare parts supply: customers need not only the product itself, but also practical support for size confirmation and replacement matching.
