Not every guide shoe with a 150 mm roller is the same.

For high-speed KONE elevators, two assemblies may look almost identical from a distance, yet use different roller widths or mounting dimensions. The most common versions are fitted with 150 × 27 mm or 150 × 38 mm guide rollers using 6003 bearings. Selecting the correct version starts with measuring the old assembly rather than comparing photos alone.

Five Measurements Worth Checking

Before requesting a quotation, it is helpful to record a few basic dimensions.

Please provide:

• roller diameter (150 mm)

• roller width (27 mm or 38 mm)

• bearing model (6003)

• guide rail size

• mounting-hole spacing

• bracket dimensions

• shaft diameter

• installation position (car or counterweight)

• clear photos from the front and side

• quantity required

These details are usually enough to distinguish one guide shoe from another, even when both belong to the same elevator series.

Instead of replacing only the roller after years of service, many maintenance teams also inspect the bearing condition, support shaft, spring mechanism and mounting bracket. Uneven roller wear or excessive bearing play can affect ride quality and accelerate guide rail wear.

If the original guide shoe has no readable part number, placing a vernier caliper beside the roller before taking a photo is often the quickest way to identify the correct replacement.
